This 'corefonts' command fixed the 'hardware' startup error and fixed the textbox error. ![]() I am assuming based on the messages is that it installs the missing core fonts that cause most users errors I am new to Ubuntu and Linux in general so I am not sure what the above command does. (note, if cabextract is not installed the above command will not work) Step 2: Ran the following commands in Terminal: Step 1: Installed "cabextract" from the 'System'-> 'Synaptic Package Manager' Working on very large files (ie: greater than 2 GB) so far everything seems ok.
